Rebel Friday: Vive Organic

On Jun 26, 2020

Today we are featuring one of our very favorite humans at the head of one of our very favorite companies.

JR Simich is the Co-Founder of Vive Organic- wellness shots made from nature's most potent organic ingredients.

Beyond being huge fans of the Vive products we are grateful for the role JR and his team play in being friends in business and in life.

You can see from the interview below that he's a special person and has surrounded himself with a team of people who think and act in the same ways.

We've leaned on them in good and bad times and truly believe they will change the world not only through their products but through the way they do business.

Here's our interview with JR:

GM:  What norm is your business breaking?

JR:  'd like to think we're breaking the norm when it comes to connectivity, in the post COVID world we want to try and be a real resource for our customers, many will have to rebuild how they do business and being with a startup my team and I can switch lanes and break rules to go the distance for our partners.

GM:  What's your WHY?

JR:  I think I have a unique place in this world,  to spread my love and fire to others.

Vive is the current vehicle. Making one person smile or one person happy each day is my goal.

GM:  What's your favorite rule to break on the reg?

JR:  I love it when people doubt what you can do with a strong partnership. When you set up a real win-win partnership you can jump over red tape and normal rules to get things done. That only happens when you look at the person in the eyes on the other side of the table and really listen.

GM: What's a rule you've broken that you've never told anyone about?

JR:  I don't think many people know that I learned about startups and entrepreneurship from quitting my job at 23 to start a medical cannabis farm in the hills of Northern California. These were the early days of the movement, long before billboards on Venice blvd and apps like ease. It was the wild wild west and rules didn't seem to exist. I was so proud to be apart of the early days of this movement, I don't get to tell people that often.

GM: What's your advice for future rule-breakers?

JR:  Stay true to you, don't just break rules to break rules, break rules because you know it impacts what you believe in. Don't get distracted by superficial goals, charge towards truth:

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth. I sat at a table where were rich food and wine in abundance, and obsequious attendance, but sincerity and truth were not; and I went away hungry from the inhospitable board. The hospitality was as cold as the ices." HDT--
